Freya (Freyja) is a Goddess from the Norse Pantheon. She is radiant, formidable, and one of the most revered and beloved goddesses. Freya is a goddess of love, beauty, fertility, war, and seidr (magic). She is both nurturing and fierce.
Freya is a Vanir goddess who came to live among the Aesir after a truce between the two divine tribes. She is the daughter of Njord, the sea god, and the sister of Freyr, the god of prosperity and peace. She resides in the hall of Fólkvangr, where she welcomes half of the fallen warriors into her domain, while the other half go to Odin's Valhalla.
Freya is associated with love, passion, beauty, and attraction, so she would be called on for love matters. She is also a Goddess of fertility, so would be called on for success in breeding animals as well as human fertility.
She is a fierce warrior, riding into battle upon her chariot drawn by two great cats. Historically, she would be called on before battle, but in our modern world, she can be called on for help with any difficult situation or issue regarding conflict.
